Weekly Photo Challenge: Purple

She ran from the left to the right, my camera followed her quickly, and the background blues and reds mixed and turned purple … exif data: Exposure 0.05 sec (1/20) – Aperture f/4.8

compare some comments made to this photo at “Movement”:

granbee / Rose commented "Now I KNOW you’re not such an old man, Frizz!
This lady is very sensuous and totally alive
in her movement in that fabulous costume..."
Ruth Bailey said: "I like the abstract quality of the blurred background.
If one looks closely, there is a man dancing in the background,
but the blurring makes him (also) just a blurry abstract of color,
so he doesn’t distract from the focal point. Good job!"
Jo Bryant said:	"...there is so much life in this one…
not only the movement but also the colour!"
Isadora wrote: "I could see this framed and hung on a wall..."
spilledinkguy said: "I have never been very good at panning,
but it looks like you have no problems with that skill..."
and thanks to George (read below) for his comment:
"Blue to magenta through red!"
frizz reply: I knew it's not exact purple, maybe it's
between magenta, orange and pink?

  3. I love this woman … she looks like she is twirling and enjoying the music – whatever it may be; but I’d like to think it’s a sensual sultry tango. Beautiful image, Frizz. The flair of your movement of the camera captured a unique image. Nicely done ….

  11. I agree with the earlier comment…a nice mix here showing the range of what can be described as “purple”. And of course Prince has been called “his purpleness” before…:-)

  12. Great interpretation of purple, FrizzText! Haha, we’ve got the same idea with the purple rain video. I knew you would use this song, but I didn’t expect you would go for the Live Grammy Awards as well 😀

Many thanks for visiting my blog pages !

I love the blue, purple, and lavender shots, and in a special way the ones that may have been remastered a little or a lot to improve their impact. I look less at the subject than at what has been done with it. It takes “eye” to do it well.
