African Wisdom

AFRICA-featured
I prefer the laconic truth of Africa – the Asian wisdom attitude was always a little “too much” for me: “Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle: When the sun comes up, you’d better be running.” [Anon]

  1. I’m glad you liked it as much as I did… It’s a great quote; like something my grandmother would say back home. 🙂

  5. What a way to look at life? LOL. And here, I always thought it was the early bird that got the worm…evidently, I was wrong, it’s the fastest runner that gets to live. I know there is a lesson in there somewhere. 🙂
