Trying not to lose track

Sometimes it seems difficult not too loose control. For example I’m happy, that so many interesting musicians joined my simple guitar tracks and added their talent via virtual jam sessions. But how to find those highlights fast – and not forget? By an A to Z order? Using a cloud which chronologically lists all the uploads? Or writing a little resume on my wordpress blog? Let’s try – with focus on the musicians who participated – and the sound design as a typical result, not with focus on the song titles…

1 – BLUES CHAMBER TRIO

15075 – HESITATION BLUES – I’m happy that very often a trio found together: Gernot (harp), jmrukkers (bass) and me with metal Dobro guitar and vocals.

2 – COUNTRY MUSIC

15169 – T for TEXAS – JatEffinTee (bass) and Gernot (harp) joined me for a country music session

3 – ROCK BAND

14951 – I was surprised by myself, but I dared to sing the KANSAS CITY BLUES, supported by Rickplayer (rhythm guitar), Babbazitt / Ian McAulay (lead guitar) and Gernot (harp)

14271 – similar energy in the “PARADISE SESSION” for my friend Janusz, who died so much earlier than me, though younger – many musicians added their talent: Janusz (slide guitar), Gernot (harp), Mr.Adam (drums), Calle (bass and e-guitar)

4 – HONKY TONK PIANO

15473Rickplayer inspired me with his retro honky piano sound to add my Dobro and vocals. Then Ian McAulay again added his e-guitar and jmrukkers his e-bass.

5 – EXPERIMENTAL VOICES

15524Carla J. Patterson surprised me, because she added Swahili language to my track “African Dance Trance”!!

15295 – I never would be able to sing the harmony vocals for the “Man of constant sorrows”, but jmrukkers had enough courage to make a try. Are you able to make it better?

6 – IRONIC SWING

13673 – PEGGY – I played at first the old French jazz standard “je suis seul ce soir” arranged for fingerstyle guitar, my friend Luzz was kind enough to add bass and a French style of accordion, but then Glenn P. from Florida joined us with an unusual retro kind of singing!

7 – INSTRUMENTALS

14453 – I played fingerstyle guitar, Sergio from Argentina joined with his bass, then came Wade from New Zealand with his saxophone.

14260 – BEI MIR BIST DU SCHOEN – Gernot with harp, Luzz with saxophone and bass, me with banjo and guitar.

14602 – I played banjo on a guitar track of “Hurzel” (B.) – even a filmmaker asked for permission to use this as a soundtrack for one of his short movies…

15479 – BLACK IS THE COLOR – the Scottish / Dutch musician Ian McAulay surprised with an e-guitar meditation for a length of nearly 10 minutes

8 – BALLADS

15548 – Bass player jmrukkers joined me, I tried to perform the St. James Infirmary Blues.

14670 – to the rhythm guitar of Neronick and the bass of chris I added my banjo and the blues ballad of cruel Staggely.

15197 – “Yas Yas yas” = similar kind of storytelling, but this time with my friend Luzz (bass, accordion and harp)…
