Whaling
The fluke of a whale as it dives photo by B℮n Visbeek, Amsterdam
(written on a December 23th): For this whale Christmas is usually something like “a shit”. It is hoped however, that not a whaling ship gets to target one of these majestic animals. The whaling nations are affected only a little by Christianity! Mostly there is not even a basic respect for the dignity of these animals! Photographers thus live in an embellished sense of the world. The international squabbling about the whaling-permissions is not very fair, to say it clear: It is far away from humanity and there are not much ethical dialogs. Merry Christmas! I understand that whales don’t care about much about Christmas …
