I’m lucky to have many grandsons. Some of them are half German, half Italian, because one of my daughters married an Italian. So we spent many weeks for example in Venice, where she studied and had her wedding. Lazy, laid back, no car traffic, just some water taxis, many restaurants etc.: Venice is a city for looking back, write down some results, read. I liked to feel my German self like a native Italian, when tourists asked me which way they should go to find the central station …
