Mathematics or literature are systems of understanding. Just like music, painting, creating engineering plans or geographic maps. The most important system of understanding was for me even ranking high above over medicine: psychology, psychoanalysis: All these maps recording aggression or the underground lakes of fears.

Mathematik oder Literatur sind Systeme des Verstehens. Genauso wie auch Musik, Malerei, das Erstellen von Ingenieurs-Plänen oder Landkarten. Das wichtigste System des Verstehens wurde aber für mich noch vor der Medizin: die Psychologie. All diese Landkarten zur Verzeichnung von Aggressionen oder der unterirdischen Seen der Ängste.
