it’s nice, if we have an “endless stream of thoughts” – enjoying thoughts like a boy sitting by a NYC Harlem Hydrant likes his cool water on a hot summer day. Once the philosopher NIETZSCHE wrote: “You cannot grab a thought. The thought grabs YOU!”

DIALOGUE
The DIALOG is an important topic of the philosophy of existentialism. MARTIN BUBER (“I and Thou”, 1922) created the term “das ZWISCHEN” (= SPHERE OF BETWEEN), where he tried to describe, how a new identity called “BETWEEN” grows, if to persons meet, having an intensive dialog; that BETWEEN could be described as a sort of CHILD, as a result of a communication; difference: the child is made of bones and blood, – but no one can SEE the “BETWEEN” of a dialog, you must feel it; a new identity, not the same as A or B, birth by empathy and communication; it’s a “C” mood, A+B with a new taste … P.S.: what will happen, when the waves of the two boats (A+B) will cross each other? a new picture, not A not B, a new C-structure will appear…

Your choice for “dialogue” is giving me so much inspiration for a future section of my adult fairytale series at http://granbee.wordpress.com. Boats passing, sending waves (and waves?) at each other – wonderful. Of course, the masterful capture makes this photo’s message even more powerful!

I liked to read the philosophy of Martin Buber about DIALOGUE. P.S.: it was interesting, when the waves of the two boats crossed each other – like words are crossing, if two have a dialog(ue) …

DOGS
Some could bite but never would, others are ready to bite but not able. That seems to be a reflection about dogs and aggression. But it could also be related to human beings or states. What about Iran? The Hormuz Strait seems to be like one bone for two dogs? The European Union yesterday launched an oil embargo vs. Iran …

Frizz, you are most blessed for drawing this analogy between the perched up little dog in the special seat beside the muzzled stronger dog below and the EU and U.S. relationship to the whole Iran-Hormuz strait thing! The so-called developed world is to mid-East oil as these dogs are to Bacon Strip treats!

I am so grateful to you, Frizz, for posting this today. I am re-blogging on my own blog, http://granbee.wordpress.com. My daughter and son-in-law lived and worked in Bangalore for almost three years and worked with and trained many with these life stories. Now my daughter teaches many in New York City with family stories only too similar to the ones Rita photographs and writes about.

Bless you from the bottom of my heart as the mother of an engineering son who completed his work-study program at Georgia Institute of Technology (in Atlanta, home of the 1996 Summer Olympics, where he was senior/supervising lifeguard for all nighttime pool events/finals!!) with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Agency! Yes, I think I am seeing from some Japanese blogging friends that the people there are realizing they have been too subordinate to the “group”. Bless that little girl’s aspirations for finding a more effective treatment for radiation poisoning!
