Royal Wedding of William and Catherine

UK Ministry of Defence had to organize some jobs on that wedding Kate / William, and so they got some pictures to upload on Flickr (and wordpress). Thanks for sharing! At 13.30 hours a Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster were seen, then two Tornado GR4s and two Typhoons …

Ministry of Defence comments: “During the Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey trumpeters from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force played a specially composed fanfare called the Valiant and Brave (the motto of 22 Squadron) to announce the signing of the register. Eight selected RAF personnel lined the path outside the Great West Door and over 60 Royal Air Force volunteers joined 60 personnel from the Queens Colour Squadron and members of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force to line the streets of Whitehall between Horse Guards and the Cenotaph. At 13.30 hours a flypast comprising of a Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster from the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) followed by two Tornado GR4s from 41 (R) Squadron, RAF Coningsby and two Typhoons from 6 Squadron, RAF Leuchars flew over Admiralty Arch, along the Mall and over Buckingham Palace.”
