Story Challenge: Letter “K”

Hi Bloggers! Do you have to share a story or a short reflection tagged with the letter “K”? For example I’ve written about KOLKATA (= Calcutta) and Kennedy, the Ku Klux Klan or “Knocking on heaven’s door”, about Kite Surfing and kitchen nudes, Kenya and Kick Boxers, Kant and Kierkegaard, the Kao-Hsiung Harbor or Kalashnikovs, Kuwait city and Koalas, Kangaroos and Knights, Kleopatra or Kansas City, Kisses and Kids etc. – I’m sure you’ll find an own story or a short reflection tagged with “K”! Feel free to add in the comments the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “K”!!!

KOLKATA / Calcutta

Kolkata is a city where one can drown. Not only during the monsoon period. Not only because there are so many people. But because there are so many things going terribly wrong. Rita Banerji lives in the middle. She comments herself (often in the attitude of a female Sisyphus): “The monsoons are here! We had 3 days of continuous rain. The streets were flooded and people in some parts of the city had to get around on little rubber boats. Strange: you never see anyone wearing raincoats here. But they are good at balancing umbrellas!”

QUESTION:

  • Do you know things, which could be organized better in your own country?
  • Do you remember situations, where humor saved your state of mind? Which?
  • my daily German Newspaper Top Headlines: http://paper.li/frizztext/1341655486: deutsch!
