I tried to play my tribute to the great music of the Brazilian composer & guitarist Luiz Bonfa – and changed the Bossa Nova to some simple Blues rhythm pattern. The ocean of Rio de Janeiro is now forgotten. And because Ian McAulay = “Babbazitt” again added his classical guitar to my metal Dobro sound and rough vocals and because Ian McAulay is Scottish, living in the Netherlands (my voice had some navigation problems hidden between all those jamming guitars): I suddenly felt like swimming through the channel from NL to UK with no sight, without any compass in the British fog… – Luiz Bonfa’s “Manha de carnival / Orfeo Negro” converted to a foggy “CHANNEL CROSSING BLUES”!
