I liked very much the movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou” by Joel Coen (with George Clooney etc.) with the final political message that country music (with mixed black and white musicians in the bands) are a wonderful project to calm down the conflicts between colored and white people in the south of USA.

The script of the movie amused with his subtle quotations as a remembrance of the famous Odyssey written 3.000 years ago by the Greek poet Homer. He appears in the movie as a blind black man – as well as other characters: the Zyklop, with one eye, will be punished again, a dog finds his Odysseus after searching long, the three beautiful Sirenes doing some harm to Odysseus and his companions, the wife of Odysseus loves another man in the meantime – because his journey (= the Odyssey) lasted much too long – and so on: why new scripts if there are interesting stories already have been written 🙂
