I like philosophy, maybe you are interested to read some of my essays:

10 Philosophers

+
a German Biography (me, frizztext):

1. Born 1945. My mother, Edith Klingbeil, left me in an orphanage, three weeks old (92% of those babies died at that time in the post-war Germany under such a treatment);

2. First ten years in the urban jungle of Wuppertal, Germany, daily corporal punishment in several cellars many years, always at the same time: clock 19.00 – by the people, who adopted me: Erwin and Luise Fritze

3. Teenager period in a small country town, learning old Latin, Greek, Hebrew, maths, physics…

4. Was forced to join the army, but managed to quit the job.

5. Studied theology, but then managed again to quit the job.

6. Married my wife Barbara, a photographer.

7. We got two daughters, I did earn the money by teaching.

8. Wrote a book on:
“The perseverance of the philosophers”

9. Threw away my old typewriter, started to write on a PC in the world wide web – trying to improve my English to get feedback from outside, leaving my German horizon

10. Wrote for amazon (de, co.uk, ca, com) as “frizztext” book reviews, topics: philosophy, politics, fine arts, photography

11. Made (together with my wife Barbara) a trip to New York: to become an instant lover of photography there (thanks to our Jewish friends, Joe and Ursel Winter, who had managed to escape to New York, leaving the third Reich 1940)

12. Played Gypsy jazz guitar, escaping my German orthodox cultural box.

13. Found after 40 years of searching my mother Edith behind the iron curtain in the eastern part of Germany; (she made suicide, after I went back to West Germany again)

14. Fell ill, forced to quit my job; retired…

15. Our daughters, now grown up, are living in big German cities (Berlin, Munich) as an architect or a banker; now we have 4 grandchildren, maybe a little bit influenced by me and my wife, maybe not at all.

16. I am trying for the rest of my life to relax and write

  9. I have just read your ‘FRIZZTEXT (ABOUT)’ – it is well crafted and written with an over-riding calmness! Whilst what I write is self-deprecating humour (or at least that is my intent) and I have, over time sought out the silliness of new ‘collective nouns’ your metaphor quest plainly is on a higher level. Good piece, I like it!

  11. Thanks for stopping by my little un-paid crazy blog. Good thing you have hear. I like the black and white photo in contrast with the colour and how you arranged the typing machine, great peace of vintage by the way and gotta love the american flag on the cup. I actually have one.
You´re the third person I follow who is into photography, is there something wrong with me because I don´t know why, why I prefer so much more black and white pictures. Not that I don´t like seeing colour, I wouldn´t be here then but there´s something to the black and white, don´t know. Maybe nostalgia?

  21. I will be going over that bridge tonight and I’ll be thinking about harp player Gernot and bass-player jmrukkers and guitarist FrizzText about how someone from Hambrg and Zurich and your home town Frizz, how people so far away can capture something that is so, bed rock San Francisco, so bed rock Western United States, a collaboration that captures reality more than the reality itself. Yes I’ll cross over that bridge tonight and again tomorrow morning singing that song in my head.

  23. Hello!
Thank you for following my blog. I know how many interesting blogs are out there and feel honored that you picked mine to follow. I hope my stories entertain and inform and my photos bring you joy and wonderment.
I travel mostly local but try to always find interesting places. I have lived in several different places and dig through my archives of photos to bring glimpses into places I have been. Sometimes I post a recipe because food tells a lot about culture.
I am not a professional photographer, so my photos are sometimes a little fuzzy and there are telephone poles and wires and other things along with what I was photographing. The older photos are 35mm, the newer are point and shoot digital and a few are Samsung Smartphone.
I am new to blogging so if you have any advice or critique please drop me a comment.
