Hymn For Refugees

“… have a pity on those, whose chances are thinner, because there’s no hiding place…” – my little home recording tribute to the song of Curtis Mayfield – because there is a controversial debate in my country between humanity (= NGO activists) on the one hand and the legal system on the other hand (anonymous bureaucracy) how to support or stop refugees …

chords for improvisation: Dsus4 Bm7 G D9 – there are many versions on YouTube: Eva Cassidy, Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Joss Stone etc. more at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People_Get_Ready

  1. Isn’t it the most distressing situation? I can’t imagine the life they are leading! I’ve just been to a Polish wedding where everything was plentiful.

  2. The Philippines has been asked to accommodate refugees also but our government has to balance the economic needs of the country first before opening its doors. After all the Philippines is not a rich country and we have our own evacuees in the southern part of the country although it has opened its doors to dislocated people from all over the world in the past.
