We are not able to change the politics in our countries using words, arguments, descriptions – therefore I decided to keep my soul calm putting the focus on my watercolor sketching and guitar playing. I’ll reduce my wordpress blog 2015 to nearly nothing but you can find me on flickr and soundcloud:
https://soundcloud.com/fingerstyle_guitar
maybe you like to watch my watercolor sketches in a museum:
you can comment my drawings or guitar tracks (if you like) here on wordpress, I’ll continue to read your comments or I’ll follow your links in the comment boxes below…
Dear Frizz, this is understandable, and you know I am thinking same with you. And art world is the best… Keeps all of us in the high mood 🙂 and we all need this… You know, I will always be following you wherever you go 🙂 Thank you!
With my Best Wishes for the New Year and with my love,

you (and other factors) inspired me to make this decision!
P.S.:
thank you Nia in Turkey, for inspiring me with your stories: your father in Düsseldorf and Pommes Frites, the wasps dying in your oven, the little owl in the chimney, the journeys with your husband!

My dear Frizz, as a big fan of yours, I will miss your daily posts. I understand however the need to somewhat distance yourself from daily blogging. I hope this means even more creativity. I will of course be visiting here and soundcloud for more Frizz1 🙂 Wishing you all the best, my friend.

aah, amigo! i’m sitting at my friends home and watching the ocean ebb to high tide – it’s another critical spring tide that passed a few days ago, though today’s waves look pretty fierce.. we’ve worked on a great art project, which helped keep the tone from being too serious here.
thanks so much, and enjoy your freedom to create!

gedanken von einem der dich sehr schätzt und bewundert:
deine resignation muß nicht sein
vielleicht waren deine erwartungen zu groß ?
was hast du dir vorgestellt, was du erreichen wirst und in welchem zeitraum ?

I look forward to seeing more of your watercolors and hearing more of your music. I will miss reading your words and thoughts, and I understand your feeling of ‘resignation’. Maybe you can think of it as ‘acceptance’ and then do the things that move you.
Happy New Year.

I wish you all the best in 2015.
Remember, if you change your mind, you have the amazing talent to use your art in a way to be critical of government and politics.
I understand your frustration , it is like that here in Canada too. Sometimes a person just has to decide where to put their energy and keep it positive, which is what it seems like you are planning to do with focusing on music and art.
It is funny, it really comes down to a person’s personality in how they can deal with politics. My husband is exactly of your thinking, resigned. I am the opposite, I get mad, I write emails, blogs, letters and the media…….and then I feel better. Just two different approaches. I have discovered if you shout loud enough politicians actually phone, email, call, text and visit you personally.
I just wanted to let you know you don’t have to be resigned forever……..but your break does sound like the right thing artistically.

thank you Deb,
for taking so much time and precision to comment, that my energy is fading out – it’s like you wrote: “Sometimes a person just has to decide where to put their energy and keep it positive…”
P.S.:
I’m feeling now (after watching your photo from the snowy Canadian mountains and reading your comment above) like a brown bear retiring into a cave to have a long long winter nap!

That’s a little sad for all of us, but probably a great decision for you. I’ll miss your blog but I’ll keep watching on Flickr. Very best wishes for all your creative endeavours in 2015 and beyond!

Sorry Frizz, I don’t agree with you. Yes, we can change our governments and our world, by our thoughts and our words. There are many good people out there in a place of power. If we are silent they will not know of our discontent and they will never make the changes needed.
I understand the importance of calming the soul. But please never give up on our quest, continue if not in you words, then in your art and music.
Happy New Year.

I also disagree that our words and arguments – yes and our drawings and fine music too – have no impact on politics. The tree falling in the middle of the forest makes a big noise. You have made and continue to make a great contribution toward the greater enlightenment. Thank you for all your blogs, and thank you for all your personal support. I feel you are a friend of mine. I know you will continue to share more fine music and art on whatever medium it be. So, keep playin that country music. Best regards and good health. As they say in the Bronx, see ya.

Oh that’s a pity, Frizz. Your A-Z photo stories happen to be one of my favourite memes. We’d still probably continue posting through our Photo Journal every Tuesday in your honor – even though it does not fit into an A-Z story-theme.

Dear sweet Frizz, I so love your art. So inspiring. I sit while on my computer and listen to your melodies and I just close my eyes and drift off to Neverland. So beautiful, your music. I understand getting busy, believe me! I’m not on my blog as often as I’d like nor get a chance to keep up with all my friends as much I need to. I think of you often and I hope you and your family are well. Y’all have a wonderful and blessed 2015, friend! 😉

OK. I’m bothered by the word resignation. A resignation can mean quitting a job, and that’s all right because I know you’ll keep on playin that country music like I know you will. But resignation also means being resigned or accepting of a poor situation, being resigned to corrupt politics and injustice. So don’t give up the good fight. And keep playing…..

As a new follower, I’ve just started to explore your accomplishments you share on your site, namely what you refer to as your flickr photo gallery. Magnificent rolls off the tongue too easily to do justice to the body of work, each piece, you expose which is beautiful, sensitive, breathtaking… as well as touching so as to reach in and shake ones emotions, leaving one with a lasting picture that keeps coming back to memory in a positive and enriching manner. Thank you for this beautiful gift! JJ
