To play guitar is a kind of meditation, soothing, making calm, not only the player but also the audience. It is a kind of lifestyle, and a learning that never stops to improve.

I wish I could sing this song like Billie Holiday!

Wonderful playing of a wonderful song. You know, I mention All of Me two times in the Up in the Bronx book. But I didn’t put it on that soundtrack CD because I couldn’t play or sing it well enough. It’s a great song. I like the Ellington-Hodges versions in particular. But the Frizz version ain’t bad either. I really like what you’re doing. As for the meditation and calming effects of the playing, i think there is a spiritual pleasure derived from the joy and beauty of the music and your identification with it.

I just listened to the Angelo Debarre track, He’s amazing! It looks so difficult to play.

indeed, Angelo Debarre is a guitar God! My simple result: a fingerstyle arrangement for beginners introducing the complicated composition of SWING GITANE on a first level, G minor, nylon strings
