Yes New York City is a role model, a demonstration that peoples of different ethnicities and races and cultures can get along perfectly well (well, not always so perfectly, but decently and well enough).
Los Angeles, I am also proud to say, demonstrates the same thing -and I think most cities of the world have different groups of people living together successfully. It isn’t that hard for people to get along and behave decently.
