+

Since 2011, I’m walking with my readers every Tuesday from A to Z, last week we had “G”, so this week we’ll focus on “H” – I’m sure you’ll also find a story or a music title tagged with “H”: Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “H”!!! Myself I’ll focus on horses’ history:

  3. And yesterday, I was joking with my wife, because I crossed the path of 2 horses….and in french, 2 horses is prononced as the Citroen 2CV (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_2CV)
When petrol will disappear, I hope before killing this planet with fracking, maybe our cars will have other “horses”. But I prefer to walk next to donkeys and horses 😉

  4. H asks for Heydar Aliyev, not the first, but longest and most influential president in independent Azerbaijan. On his birthday there is a huge flower festival all over Baku. The first time in my life that I saw a portrait made of flowers.

What an interesting mode of transportation! We have amish buggy here in Ohio, but I’ve never seen a horse taxi! Thanks for sharing the photos, Frizz! I have Tommy the affectionate attack cat for my H story today.

      hi Fats,
we made the same experiment with a harness, but our cat likes to follow an own compass – not like a dog we learned – but she likes to sit on my shoulder when I’m walking around in our garden!

I have been behind again. I had so many ideas for the Letter G that I still may post that one.
I’ve been trying to combine my art blog and writing blog into one – not enough time to do 2.
Many themes to choose from each with a little something different in each one.
Hope you like my entry for the Letter H

  16. That first ‘horse taxi’ is such a, relatively-speaking, modern vehicle. I wonder, was the engine removed during the war years when petrol was at a premium (not that it isn’t now!) ?

thank for taking me back down memory lane -I loved to sing along with ‘horse with no name’ – it felt good to be out of the rain!
The horse taxi reminds me of the apocalyptic poem by Edwin Muir The Horses. Do you know it?

      “…On the second day the radios failed;
we turned the knobs; no answer.
On the third day a warship passed us, heading north,
Dead bodies piled on the deck.
On the sixth day a plane plunged over us into the sea.
      Thereafter nothing. The radios dumb;…”

it’s an endless history of mankind pulled into escalation so often, getting cold and cruel, doing unbelievable harm to strangers, they call it WAR and so the think it is legal to be like a devil… actually in Ukraine, Gaza, Iraq, Syria etc.
