very nice! Our daughter was a teacher for architecture at the university and she made her students build little replicas of old historical framework houses and barns – was a fine exhibition in several cities…

This was an amazing brick barn (isn’t everything here) I was enthralled with the size of these twisted logs that were the support of the structure ! Of course I may have to paint it! !!!

my good old hero CHARLES Darwin (I’m an atheist). I like your resume: “Just as his book On the Origin Species shook the foundations of Christian orthodoxy, so these ruins mark England’s break from the Church in Rome and a complete shake-up in religious belief that rebounded down the centuries… Even his wife was concerned about the state of his soul…” Oh my poor Catholic wife Barbara! P.S.: I also like Churchill’s aphorisms or the books of Canetti, Cioran or Camus…

Lots of good ‘C’s here, Frizz. Interesting I read that Charles Darwin could not quite in the end claim to be an atheist, but admitted to agnosticism. I think like Laura, he was rather conflicted.
