Tuesday’s A to Z challenge: “Z”

Event Type: General Blogging

Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly

Description: Every Tuesday I offer the “A to Z challenge”, walking step by step through the alphabet.
Zoo, Zeppelin, Zen, Zydeco, Zigzag or Zebra? Last week we had the “tagged Y”-challenge, so this week we’ll create the last turn with “Z” – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “Z”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “Z”!!! Myself I’ll focus on “ZigZag”:

My life was a ZigZag. And exploring the chances of internet too: from twitter to flickr, from wikipedia to amazon, from wordpress to YouTube. Now, nearly aged 70, I’ll focus on my daily guitar playing only: If you like, visit me on my soundcloud:

A big applause must go to ideflex (acrossthebored) who created special sonnets for each letter, zigzagging through the A to Z, visit his blog:
an example of his creativity:

“Of the Zillions of Zygotes
that could possibly Zing
Zany unions are wild
Zoologists sing
Zapped to their Zenith
In a Zone not so Zen
ZigZag mitosis
Zooms along then
Zambian dream
every horse fantasy
a Ziegfield Zebra
just wondrous to see”

    • hi Debbie,
I like the aphorisms of Churchill – and his great character, the best tool vs. Hitler; Sir Winston Churchill – maybe the Zodiac clock designers should put a cigar into the mouth? My favorite Churchill aphorism (spoken in a restaurant): “Is this tea? bring coffee. Or is this coffee? Then bring tea. Resume = never accept life as it is, always try to make it better…

Hello Frizz! It’s nice to start my day with your wonderful music! I have Zonk for today. =) http://gatheringbooks.org/2014/07/01/photo-journal-a-z-photo-story-challenge-z-is-for-zonk/

    • hi Fats Suela, I like your cat TOMMY, demonstrating the meaning of the term ZONK:
zonk /zäNGk,zôNGk/ informal verb = fall or cause to fall suddenly and heavily asleep or lose consciousness
compare our cat EMILY (after a glass of red wine):
      the sleep of the righteous
after a chess battle vs. me (I won after staring her down):
      After the match

    • hi Marianne, your comment was the last drop for my decision to try another turn, starting next Tuesday: I’m sure all of us will have enough ideas what to feature from A to Z, especially you have time enough to think it over before publishing, always knowing, what will be the next topic. I’ve just scheduled A to D, July 8, 15, 22 and 29! Hoping enough readers are motivated to follow…

  16. if you like you can choose this as your A to Z challenge header too:
