Tuesday’s A to Z challenge: “W”

Event Type: General Blogging

Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly

Description: Every Tuesday I offer the “A to Z challenge”, walking step by step through the alphabet.
Last week we had the “tagged V”-challenge, so this week we’ll create a new turn with “W” – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “W”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “W”!!! Myself I’ll focus on the word “WHAT”:

“WHAT, what have they done, what have they done to my song, ma?” – I’ll never forget this wonderful song by Melanie in the sixties! Now listen what I’ve done to her song – be glad: I didn’t even try to cover her glorious singing…

    • you made me smile, Naomi, with your ELDERLY PEOPLE sign and pantomime… – good that I’m singing BLUES and not soprano opera – so it doesn’t matter that I’m nearly aged 70.

  2. What is it? Why? Who what where when how is it I can’t play your songs all the time? I tried to listen to the Melanie song, but get this Bring It On Home —– which is terrific. The sound you are getting is beautiful. And what a strength in the voice. All the best, Frizz

    • in the eighties I wrote essays for the magazine “Betrifft Erziehung” published by Beltz, Weinheim, I’m sad that I’ve been never there, they sent the money to my hometown – so: thanks, Traudel, for your Weinheim pictures!

      • you replied, tgeriatrix: “The publisher for scientific and children’s books still exist, as far as I know quite successful. Beltz is also a book store in town, the old lady Mrs. Beltz-Rübelmann is still in the shop.” = es ist angenehm, wieder etwas Reales über seine Wolkenkuckucksheime zu hören!

  25. I didn’t want to miss the Letter W this week but had to change my original post due to a tragic incident that I believe was noteworthy of posting instead. My next post will be much more joyous. Thanks, Frizz.

  26. Here’s a track I made to go with Smokey the crazy dog. Woofing happy blues. Just a bit of silliness.
