Event Type: General Blogging
Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly
Description: Every Tuesday I offer the “A to Z challenge”, walking step by step through the alphabet.

Last week we had the “tagged S”-challenge, so this week we’ll create a new turn with “T” – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “T”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “T”!!! Myself I’ll focus on the “T for Texas”:
“T” for TEXAS
let me sing a “T for Texas” cover for you:

hi Myra,
“Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,..”

Thanks for another great challenge! In my book, T is for Turkish Cooking Class, or to be more specific, How I Survived Turkish cooking Class! http://naomibaltuck.wordpress.com/2012/12/19/how-i-survived-turkish-cooking-class/

thinking of Turkey actually means for me writing about the coal mine disaster in Soma (more than 300 dead) and the cynical ignorance of the Turkish prime minister Erdogan – and how the police acts with violence vs. protesters on the street…

I have been following that situation here in the US. Very tragic. Thank you for sharing this link.

Love your T-song, Frizz. And please excuse my hitching a ride here with this week’s T story. It is part of the #mywritingprocess blog tour – ‘Taking the slow road – tarrying not typing’: http://wp.me/pKVAM-Hy
This is a sort of writing relay, one writer talking about their writing before introducing another. I thought you’d rather like the idea/ could adapt it music-wise?

hey Sue, again I liked your intro: “T could be for Tal-y-Llyn, Tanygrisiau, Tarascon, Le Touquet, Le Thoronet, Traunkirchen, les Trois Épis, Turckheim, Tivoli, Tuscany, Trinidad de Cuba, Trier, Thüringer Wald…” – (for me T is Tacitus but you can’t travel to him anymore): Tacitus would have been amused by the warship on the river Thames!

Traugott is an amusing German name. It means, translated: “trust God” (but if there isn’t any, only some bigott administrations, abusing their believers?)
