This David / Michelangelo sculpture replica in Cologne, Germany, already found very young admirers – in the meantime it was extinguished after some religious protest, so this is a rare monument-document. The David in Florence is still on the right place.

who can count all the monuments in Paris?
P.S.:
we had a time in the city BOCHUM, nearby, when all the hero sculptures were cut shortly over the shoes (happened always in the middle of the night). The iron heroes (mostly monuments for the fallen soldiers in WW 1 and WW 2) tumbled down and on the next morning only the shoes remained – some people were surprised, others made applause, the officials didn’t know what to do – and brought the heroes into an archive, to think it over. After 30 years the monuments are lost now, no one knows, to which location they disappeared…
