Tuesday’s A to Z challenge: “L”
Event Type: General Blogging
Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly
Description: Every Tuesday I offer the “A to Z challenge”, walking step by step through the alphabet.
+
Last week we had the “tagged K”-challenge, so this week we’ll create a new turn with “L” – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “L”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “L”!!! Myself I’ll focus on “Love”:
LOVE
For this week’s A to Z challenge I’ve chosen the LOVE LOCKS of Cologne, Germany:

Love locks, Frizz, priceless in so many ways. For my ‘L’ I wanted to introduce fellow bloggers to Shropshire artist Sheilagh Jevons by LOOKING inside one of her paintings: http://wp.me/pKVAM-BZ

hi Tish,
I like the facial expressions of the three chess figures most! We have a bishop who looks like the the figure on the right, his name Teebartz van Elst. He took 40 million € to build a fine residence for his own, big bathroom, diamonds from India etc. People organized some protest, so he was forced to leave his town (Limburg). But he can’t understand and won’t accept the criticasters.

Hi there Frizz, now that’s a perfect word for L indeed. What can be better than love? I’ve seen similar love locks but not in Germany – it was in Prague.
Here’s my contribution this week: Los Angeles!

hi Myra,
thanks for the interesting quotation: “New York gets godawful cold in the winter, but there’s a feeling of wacky comradeship somewhere in some streets. LA is a jungle.”

great INTRO again, Sue: “L … could be for London, Leipzig, Lindau, Laon, Lourmarin, Lippizer, Lucca, Locorotondo, Lembach… But I’m going for Lutzelbourg in Lorraine…”
P.S.: I would add Limburg at river Lahn too: read my comment above for Tish, related to the rich bishop of LIMBURG.

L = Lynne!
the L-bridge, the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam, maybe is a hidden tribute of the architect to you, Lynne? At least a humorous ode by your husband to you?
