Tuesday’s A to Z challenge: “L”
Event Type: General Blogging
Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly
Description: Every Tuesday I offer the “A to Z challenge”, walking step by step through the alphabet.
Last week we had the “tagged K”-challenge, so this week we’ll create a new turn with “L” – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “L”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “L”!!! Myself I’ll focus on “Love”:
For this week’s A to Z challenge I’ve chosen the LOVE LOCKS of Cologne, Germany:

hi Rosemarie, my favorite place would be in the library, not in the lake or in the cage of a leopard or a lioness…
So true. 🙂

I know they’re not popular with a lot of local authorities but I like them. Here is mine: http://travelwithintent.com/2014/03/25/l-is-for-legs/
you made me smile with your LEGS gallery!
Pingback: Looking inside ‘The House of Belonging’ with artist Sheilagh Jevons | Tish Farrell
Love locks, Frizz, priceless in so many ways. For my ‘L’ I wanted to introduce fellow bloggers to Shropshire artist Sheilagh Jevons by LOOKING inside one of her paintings: http://wp.me/pKVAM-BZ
I like the facial expressions of the three chess figures most! We have a bishop who looks like the the figure on the right, his name Teebartz van Elst. He took 40 million € to build a fine residence for his own, big bathroom, diamonds from India etc. People organized some protest, so he was forced to leave his town (Limburg). But he can’t understand and won’t accept the criticasters.

Hi there Frizz, now that’s a perfect word for L indeed. What can be better than love? I’ve seen similar love locks but not in Germany – it was in Prague.
Here’s my contribution this week: Los Angeles!
thanks for the interesting quotation: “New York gets godawful cold in the winter, but there’s a feeling of wacky comradeship somewhere in some streets. LA is a jungle.”

Here’s mine, Frizz – hope you like my intro words! : http://suejudd.com/2014/03/25/frizztexts-a-toz-challenge-l-is-for-lutzelbourg/
great INTRO again, Sue: “L … could be for London, Leipzig, Lindau, Laon, Lourmarin, Lippizer, Lucca, Locorotondo, Lembach… But I’m going for Lutzelbourg in Lorraine…”
P.S.: I would add Limburg at river Lahn too: read my comment above for Tish, related to the rich bishop of LIMBURG.
Ah, but Frizz, I only list the places I have been to AND have my own photographs of!!
Who can argue with love.

L = Lynne!
the L-bridge, the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam, maybe is a hidden tribute of the architect to you, Lynne? At least a humorous ode by your husband to you?

Love the Love Locks Frizz – I posted about them in Ljubljana (now that would have been a triple L) a while ago: http://wp.me/pL5Ms-10j but continuing my theme of urbanicity my entry for you is another building in India: http://wp.me/pL5Ms-1gZ
Have a great week!
impressing architecture – but on the other hand: an absurd, big contrast to the poverty of many people in India?

Is that a lizard on that lock? 😉
here is my L!
Hope you like it!

”Wherever there is light, one can photograph” Alfred Stieglitz – you realized this manifest perfectly! My wife, a professional photographer, hates to use a flash light, always searches for available light.
I do the same…But in my case it is also because I do not know how to use correctly flash lights…I have to learn…

Hi Frizztext I tried to put a YouTube in this post but failed miserably I have managed to do it in the past. Any way I hope you enjoy your visit to the zoo.
wonderful facial expressions of the lions, great gallery! and congrats for embedding the YouTube video: easy, putting only the URL into the wordpress text editor …
Got help from WordPress happiness engineers but it seems that music is copyrighted and can not be used. so may try another video
the following version of the LION sleeps tonight
is my grand childrens’ favorite
every evening, they dance to the music (aged 2,4,5):
So many countries have the same “lock for love”….In Paris, it is Le Pont des Arts. I don’t remember if there is the same in London, Berlin, ….

Morning Frizz 🙂 I see I have a lot of catching up to do on your ‘L’s’ already!
Many thanks for playing host (and your inimitable guitar).
thank you for: “Loule’s main landmark is visible from the A22 motorway when driving past the town. Nossa Senhora da Piedade is a dome shaped modern church which sits on a hill…”
Many thanks for being such a nice and easy-going host 🙂
L is Lent for me. http://nagpanaoan.com/2014/03/31/frizztexts-atoz-challenge-l-for-lent/
and I sang a spiritual, once heard in a Sunday gospel service:
Thank you frizztext. You are multi-talented.
