About Singing

Sometimes my singing is bad, sometime I’ve luck, and it sounds better. I started 50 years ago singing as a lead singer in a big gospel choir. Then I discovered the blues. Later on I’ve been fascinated by Gypsy swing. Sometimes I cannot forget pop songs I’ve heard in my first dance lessons in the sixties. It’s all mixed in my music now…

A listener kindly commented: “I like your singing as it’s from the heart and has absolute integrity. I hate hearing singers who are phonies even if their voice is pure. …I heard this as somewhere between Dixieland and jug band. …It’s occasionally dreamy and then crisp. We tend to be our own worst critics. I’m very happy with the way it sounds with you singing… It’s only when someone obliterates the tune and original feel that I’d stop and wonder why…”

  5. Singing your way is what music should be about. Singing from the heart, and bringing pleasure to others.
