though I’m German, I’d never heard from HAMM beer before – for sure it was a good idea to leave Germany behind (1865), before those horrible world wars! We still have an ugly city with the name HAMM. Saw it while riding on a train to BERLIN.

Hey Jude,
what you write about the harbor bridge in Sydney: “I have walked across it, driving across in a car, taken a train over and driven under in the tunnel. I have climbed up one of the towers…” – would be nice for other bridges too: Brooklyn Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge… (and penalty 200 $ if you try to balance over the cables?)

Never been to New York, but I have been to SF and driven over the GG Bridge and under it in a boat! But the thing to do there I think is to cycle over it.

The Fibonacci numbers (1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,…), where each number equals the sum of the two previous numbers, produces beautiful spirals that are demonstrated in nature in such things as sea shells or an uncurling fern…”

H for me is all about health/hope, since I’ve suffered from digestive health issues most of my adult life. I have hope, becauase I have faith in a much higher power that knows my every thought, feeling, pain, and becauase over the course of the last four (+) years I’ve transformed at least my physical self by losing 65 pounds, going from being a complete couch potato to working out (i.e., running 5 miles/spending an hour on my elliptical 4-5 days a week, changing my eating habits), but I have demons in the form of an addictive personality that causes me to search for a new addiction (whatever form that may take) to replace the old ones (mainly food in the past). I still love to eat, but I am an extremist and my hardest challenge is finding balance between over-the-top “Jane Fonda” work-out queen to learning to live/work out/eat in balance. I’m a work in progress and most likely will be for the rest of my life. I didn’t realize the letter “H” would bring out so much self realization, word vomiting, which I’ve been told I’m prone to. This is my very first attempt. I hope I’ll get better.
