Michelle from “Daily Post” writes: “A juxtaposition is ‘the act of placing things side by side, especially for the purpose of comparison or contrast’ (unexpected pairings).โ Photos below are shot by “frizztext” (= some by my wife B., some by myself), always featuring a paradox side by side – what do you think, fits the term JUXTAPOSITION perfectly? Do you have a favorite among the 14 examples?
1 Philosopher with models
2 Honeymooners
3 Up we go
4 Manipulating the fishes
5 Too much whites
6 Boeing between birds:
7 Leรณn Ferrari, Biennale 2007
8 Kick vs. a pigeon
9 A Cat named Robbespierre
10 Light vs. heavy
11 In the night

I think the top one (the one with the statue and the glamor post in the background) is my favorite out of the bunch.

Not a fair question, picking a favorite when they are all so good and full of such wonderful juxtaposition but, if I close my eyes and think back I see Too Much White, the pigeon and the kicker, and the Jesus Missile for peace and destruction!

hi Patti,

I like very much, that many of your photos and comments
have a political dimension:
“…sitting on the church steps, all doors closed….”
thank you for political statements in my blog too,
handling fashion hybris and animal rights,
racism, religion and wars:
“…if I close my eyes and think back I see
Too Much White,
the pigeon and the kicker, and the
Jesus Missile for peace and destruction!”
