Tuesday’s A to Z challenge: “B”

9673136346_3946b09591

Event Type: General Blogging

Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly

Description: Every Tuesday I offer the “A to Z challenge”, walking step by step through the alphabet.
+
Last week we had the “tagged A”-challenge, so this week we’ll create a new turn with “B” – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “B”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “B”!!! Myself I’ll focus on “Bojangles”:

BOJANGLES

To my soundcloud-track of Mr. Bojangles’ dance maybe fits a photo taken by my wife Barbara in an abandoned loft, featuring two dancers completely focussed on each other:
this-may-be-the-last-time
background music: me on guitar, trying to make a tribute to Sammy Davis, Whitney Houston, Chet Atkins, Jerry Jeff Walker, Nina Simone – who all performed this hommage to dancing …

  10. Bright Fields of Llyn – is my ‘B’ story, Frizz. Love Barbara’s photo. Reminds me of another ‘B’ – ‘Blood Wedding’ ‘Bodas de sangre’ – a Flamenco Ballet with the wondrous Antonio Gades – the studio rehearsal is the best version.

    • I like your quotation:
“Life is like riding a bicycle.
      To keep your balance,
      you must keep moving.”
      P.S.:
      a little bit similar to
      “Life can only be understood backwards;
but it must be lived forwards.”

  13. Your version is so much better than most of the too sad, sappy versions I’ve heard! Nice and clean, hopeful….

    • yes, I don’t like guitar music,
if the arrangement is too sad.
      My first favorite painting
      was Piet Mondrian’s
      Broadway Boogie Woogie
      – his tribute to the New York dance halls

      – and my favorite guitar highlight:
      the guitar BOOGIE WOOGIE
      played by Tommy Emmanuel –
I saw him life in BERLIN:
