Tuesday’s A to Z challenge: “A”
Event Type: General Blogging
Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly
Description: Every Tuesday I offer the “A to Z challenge”, walking step by step through the alphabet.
+
Last week (2013) we had the “Z”-challenge, so this week (2014) we’ll start a new turn with “A” again – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “A”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “A”!!! Myself I’ll focus on “Alberta”:
ALBERTA
To my soundcloud-track of the blues with the title ALBERTA (a woman) maybe fits a photo taken in Alberta (Canada):
photo by JCP / Jeffrey Chin, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; photo was kindly sent to my group BLOG IT!, click on the picture to enter his galleries on Flickr.com
background music: a tribute to Eric Clapton’s “ALBERTA” (the MTV unplugged series) – harp: Gernot Baur, guitar: Frizz / me
a wonderful start for you and all your friends

Nice picture to start the year! Here’s my “A” contribution today:

I like your Armstrong quotation:
“The ancient Romans had a tradition: whenever one of their engineers constructed an arch, as the capstone was hoisted into place, the engineer assumed accountability for his work in the most profound way possible—he stood under the arch.”
— Michael Armstrong
P.S. by frizztext:
maybe also a good test for the statements of the bicycle champion and doping specialist Armstrong – or the Armstrong, who was on the moon (I still can’t believe it, but that Stanley Kubrick produced a fake). The only one, who mustn’t have any fear to stand under his arch of art is, for sure: Louis Armstrong!

Yes, indeed, Frizz and Fats, grant us all the courage to stand under our own arches. That’s quite a thought to start the year with.

Something so fun about such a simple alphabet challenge ! http://wp.me/a2dwKf-1de
This little craft was made rivet by rivet by a friend of mine and it was mandatory that I act as an ACTIVE co-pilot as it has minimal radar so I was encouraged to look for other small planes at the same altitude ! It was scary but FUN !

it was always my wish to join a ride in a glider like this. In my childhood we lived near a little airfield. The planes were started by a rope. The silence inside must be soothing. I only managed to book some helicopter flights, so noisy!

It was a little scary actually as it was so tiny but I decided if my time was up it would be short and sweet! It tok him 4 years to build it. Can you imagine the first flight? GULP!
