TUESDAY’S A TO Z CHALLENGE
Event Type: General Blogging
Start Date: Tuesdays, recurring weekly
Description: Every Tuesday I offer the A to Z challenge walking step by step through the alphabet.
+
Every Tuesday, step by step, I’m walking with my readers from A to Z, last week we had the “W”-challenge, so this week we’ll take “X” – I’m sure you’ll also find a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “X”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “X”!!! Myself I’ll focus on the topic “Xmas tree”:
Xmas Tree
X? I’ve written often about X-mas. We had our most wonderful Christmas time in Venice some years ago. Our daughter married there her Italian architect. We stood on a balcony to watch the boats down on the canale grande. We strolled through the medieval city centrum. Never I will forget the rich Arabian ladies with bodyguards (equipped with automatic weapons), taking a jewelry for their own; and what made me smile? Watching my daughter, disappearing with her fresh husband in a nice hotel. On the great St. Marcus piazza a casino had installed a gift: a large Xmas tree – made of glass!
That is one stunning tree!

That is an out-of-this-world Christmas tree! Very creative! It’s quite the opposite of the photos I put up today. I have “X is for Xeric.”

I forgot to mention that I also included a short video of a young man named Xeric Tan playing “You Look Most Beautiful Today” in violin. =)

I’m amused, because it was not easy for Xeric to get the audience quiet…

What an interesting tree… and beautiful story. It’s strange sometimes that the best Xmas we had was in a foreign country, far from home. For us, it was in Vietnam …

What a lovely story! And a glass Christmas tree. It sounds like a new-fangled Christian Andersen tale.

hi Debbie,
thank you for the term XENO-MANIA, much more positive than the ugly xenophobia!
I’m trapped in Xenomania too, I took this photo featuring 3 friends:
the musician with hat (left) is Errol O. Johnson (Jamaica / UK)

on the right side (blond sax player) – he is a refugee from Russia – he (Juri is his name) escaped from the war in Afghanistan, so he had to spent some years in prison for that failure in Moscow – and is now happy to be free in Germany…

in the middle: a female designer from Turkey, selling pearls and diamonds …

Beautiful glass tree! Glad the solstice is nearly here and the days will start to draw out again. In the meantime there are presents to find and I would like to suggest this for a good read.

I missed XXX- not really what I’d like to post but an accurate portrayal of: http://wp.me/a2dwKf-19d
The X- chromosome of Xenophilia on a parallel of X-axis instead of XXX. ; )
