The photographer Peter Tewksbury (peabus) introduces many old cars in his flickr photo-stream (Belltown Car Show 2013 at Haddam Neck Fairgrounds CT), and he kindly sent some to my group BLOG IT!. It always makes me a bit sad when I see these old automobiles: I am born in 1945 – would I entrust a technical system that in 1945 left the factory? Nevertheless I hope that my body systems still hold out for a while…
how wonderful
to be a classic 🙂

Frizz, we definitely need your system to hold up! And of course it will.

The difference between us and those cars is ….that you can make a car as new as it left the factory, like the one on the picture. It’s not possible with the human body 😦

Ah, Frizz, I believe that “a technical system that in 1945 left the factory” would not fail you. I doubt if you could say the same for a computer manufactured in 2000! 🙂

O.K. my Dobro, from 1930, was hanging on the wall without any strings, repaired it today, listen:

I hope the doctors continue to repair my inner strings as well – continuously 🙂
