frizztext: Every autumn, when I discover again those conkers on my path, I take a breath and think: Fall again. It’s done. Let’s retire. The photographer Chrissie commented her photo: “I love the colour and patterns of newly ‘born’ conkers.” Photo title=”Conker,Conkers,Conkers!” – picture by Chrissie28IWish!, kindly sent to my group BLOG IT!, click on the image to enter her galleries on Flickr.com

Love conkers – I posted them a while ago and it goes without saying I love your tunes!

My very favourite song, and in just about any version. Also there’s nothing so delicious-looking as a newly opened conker. Tony at 2far2shout tells me that if you put them in corners around the house they discourage spiders. Only trouble is – this year I have no conkers. I wonder what your cat would think of conkers in corners.

we eat special conkers (sweet) from Italy or Turkey; we put them 20 minutes in an oven …

Oh yes, we have those too. They are delicious. Sweet chestnut soup made with rich chicken or pheasant stock.
