K-challenge

k-challenge
Every Tuesday, step by step, I’m walking with my readers from A to Z, last week we had the “jjj”-challenge, so this week we’ll take “K” – I’m sure you’ll also find a a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “K”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “K”!!! Myself I’ll focus on the topic “knitting”:

KNITTING

Soho Boho Tricot
More and more we can find in our urban jungles a female movement called “yarn bombing” — a graffiti version that uses yarn / wool: standing sculptures and moving cars, standing lamps and moving bicycles now have a new outfit: dressing objects with a glimpse of warm, female humor some women are acting vs. a cold world.

  2. Hi there Frizz, I never really learned how to knit, but I did some cross-stitching before. 🙂 This bike is truly well-loved to have clothing like this. 🙂

Here’s my K contribution this week: K is for Kangaroos in Brisbane.

  3. K is the initial of my beloved brother who Is the most kind and caring man I know. Only thing is I wouldn’t like to be living with him he is too meticulous .A real perfectionist. We’d probably drive each other mad. Love him dearly

Better late than never! This plant started from a 2″ cutting and three fleshly leaves in 1997 and has now progressed to a circumference of 3 +feet. Moving it requires the strength of 2 men . It is Justifyingly Jaded !

  7. I was surprised there wasn’t more tags and choice words that start in English in K. The silent K’s would naturally remain silent. So no Knowledge, and no Knute Rockne. There’s the Key To The Highway tag that’s almost a collection. but then I saw a thing I had done on Kurt Vonnegut on my blog and here it is.http://bumbastories.wordpress.com/2012/08/26/kurt-vonnegut-and-a-song/

    • KANSAS CITY – because I know you like to relax with music (and in the band something better than a KAZOO: a blues harp solo):

I played the banjo for our local band – a sound like in Fats Dominos version (maybe it is not a banjo there):

  13. Love your ‘K’, Frizz. Here’s mine: Kevin, Kudu and Kirinyaga, also with a bit of ‘L’ thrown in for Lewa, and just to show that there are great places in Africa where conservationists are working with communities to stop the poachers: http://wp.me/pKVAM-jI

I’m glad, that I’m not threatened by hyenas, leopards or hunting dogs. I’m glad that my horns are not prized in Africa as musical instruments or honey containers!

a key to a little cottage on a Greek island would be nice …

      • Well… These are decorative keys in the reception area of a very luxurious hotel in Oia, Santorini. It’s amazing.
But given the choice, if I had the keys to my own little cottage on a Greek island to go there with my family every time I could, I would very much prefer that. 😉

I always have to smile, when I see them play American football! Not only because your “grandson plays football for one school and your granddaughter plays in the marching band for another” – I have to smile because European football (= soccer) has so different rules!
