Sometimes I feel like a motherless child – no, like an old rusty Volkswagen camper van. Not built anymore. Neither in Germany, nor in Brazil. Had my good times in the sixties. Was born 1945, started my life in an orphanage. It was a long way till now, writing, retired, no more driving to anywhere.

Ooooooh! You know I love those things! I just sent my old bug to the VW graveyard in the sky. I bought a new one, though!!! I will need to post that cutie sometime. Also, guess what? On the way to work this morning I saw – wait for it – A GREEN KARMANN GHIA! And she was a beauty. No chance for a photo. Dang! These vehicle live on in our hearts❤.

That’s a beauty. Mine was green. It ended up in a ditch while my friend was driving. He walked away but i didn’t find out until the state troupers called me! Sorry about your friend.

😀 I don’t recall how many hours, days and weeks I’ve spent in a VW bus. It had its own sound and own smell, but it was a great car 🙂

I noticed the Colorado license plate, I would have been disappointed if it were any other state. Beautiful post, Frizz. I don’t know you, know you…but I’ll bet you’ve still got it!

I think people are still driving these as taxis in South Africa. 😀

Could be…that this is a ‘lonesome bus.’
It still has dignity even though it is aged and caked in rust.
