HHH-Challenge

A-Z Archive
Every Tuesday, step by step, I’m walking with my readers from A to Z, last week we had the “GGG”-challenge, so this week we’ll take “H” – I’m sure you’ll also find a a photo, a story or a music title tagged with “H”! Feel free to add in the comments below the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “H”!!! Myself I’ll visualize the subject “History Of Horses”:

HISTORY OF HORSES

When the horses were allowed to live without mankind, it was good for them. But then a long history of wars and transport oppressed them. I will never forget the long row of blind coal mine horses 1945 in Germany marching to the butcher. Perhaps now the horses at least in Mongolia have a good life.

  1. It really is sad how horses have been abused by humans in the past. I would like to think hat they are treated better these days.

  3. A wonderful song. And an interesting thought about horses. As a Bronx boy I don’t know much about horses, but I admire their beauty and grace, especially when wild as you say. For my H contribution I attached a poem I wrote for Victor Hugo, le grand homme.

I do not eat Hotdogs at all. I was driving down the road in upstate NY and I screeched to a halt and took this picture because it was so garish that it was funny! Now I am glad I did! Laughs!

  13. Horses are such noble animals, which, like all things we humans touch, we use to our own purposes. I went with horses too – here my HHH – http://lynneayersbeyondthebrush.wordpress.com/2013/08/20/hero-on-high-horse-2/

  21. Poor horses. As humans find less use for these beautiful animals with the continuing advances in technology, I wonder how long there would be horses around. What a pity. 😦

    • hi Pat,
thank you for your storytelling about Montana: “I commented that there isn’t anything between towns – and she quickly said “just wheat.” That is what they grow a lot of in Montana. They are harvesting and they need lots of big trucks, grain elevators and trains to get the wheat to other places…”
