I already prepared a post. Last week when you presented the DDD Challenge, I had the fore-vision (is that a word in German?) – foresight I suppose – to make a bold leap of logic to consider that E would be the next letter. So I started working on it. E for Energy and Ellington again.

P.S.:
my actual reflection on Existentialism: main part of this philosophy is to focus on courage (and not to get overwhelmed by ANGST). Maybe it is a question of courage for Israel, to follow some wishes of the people of upcoming Palestina: to give them West Jordan Land and parts of Jerusalem demands a lot of courage and trust. I’ve heard about some Israelis who try to respect Palestina: those are good existentialists in my eyes … – what do you think about the chance of those new started negotiations?

maybe you realize, that West and East Germany were manipulated to hate each other like North and South Korea. Than the people ignored the propaganda of their administrations and joined! Existentialism also means the risky step into individuality, ignoring the point of view of the common crowd, news magazines, official political statements…

there is no charismatic Nelson Mandela for Jerusalem in sight. Image a government in Jerusalem with two presidents (from former Israel AND from Palestina) doing the will of a mixed parliament (50% from Israel, 50% from Palestina): that’s the situation in united Germany (and was in South Africa). As an atheist I can watch only with irony the strange clash of religions world wide. Sunnits and Shiits are killing each other in Syria or Egypt or Iraq. My opinion: religion out off politics (as in France)!

I have to jump in & say I love the direction Shimon pushed for the letter “E”, and the resulting thoughts and images: the crow – “majestic existentialist” – yes! – and the cat video – wow, fantastic! And then your subsequent thoughts…and Shimon’s…etc. (Nothing wrong with elephants either!)

we had a report in German TV, that one African state now gives more money to the elephant killers if they protect the elephants as wildlife guards, than the idiots from Asia usually give them for ivory. It seems to fit a little …

No, no, no!!! You didn’t irritate me at all. Epicurus was a great Greek philosopher and so was his school of philosophy called Epicureanism. It is something we Greeks should be proud of, as there isn’t much left to be proud of in the present.
I am not at all irritated or anything. It’s a pleasure to discover that you know a lot about philosophy including Epicurus! 🙂

Epicurus was the first landmark for me to realize, that it is possible to create important thoughts and discussions without being a Christian or a Jew, a Muslim or a Hindu etc.

at least my cat runs to me, leaving even her best hide, if she hears, that I begin to play guitar again. She is so attracted by guitar playing as if she had smelled crab, tuna or raw chicken meat! Dogs have the opposite effect. Like guitar-playing on my wife. She likes opera.
