It was a hot day – and so we had to visit our local Italian ice-cafรฉ “Lazzaretti”! My wife Barbara enjoyed “ice coffee” with delicious chocolate, whipped cream and vanilla ice (like me) – but before I could drink I had to fix that for eternity!

Yummy, icecream! You liked a post of me ‘shadow’ that went out too early. It will be back though, a picture of St. John’s at Tidewell.

Good photo and sounds like you and your wife enjoyed your drink, judging from the picture she did. Check mine out to see what fresh drink I suggest on a hot day. ๐

old house in the background (left) is a church, and new house (on the right) is a library, built by my son in law (an architect from Berlin); my wife liked to sit exactly there on her birthday, thinking of our daughter (an architect too), the 2 1/2 grandchildren – and the hard job they have to do – not much time left for family connections …

Hi Barbara! Frizz, I also see your presence there in your waiting-for-Frizz ice coffee. I hope you were both able to cool down a bit. It was hot today also here, nearly 100 degrees.

maybe you make your long walks near the East river during the heat period not at 6 p.m. but at 6 a.m.?

Thank you for the advise about walking in the AM instead of PM. I started to walk in the morning instead to keep my energy instead of being zapped by the sun.
