Isn’t it ironic, how self-conscious a part of humanity still remains in the faith and the other portion creates the most subtle technical realizations? P.S.: And if the religions cannot live in peace together, then the military industry earns much money, coming to “help”? [as actually in Syria]…

“…warriors who could turn this planet to dust!”
P.S.:
let me add, Bastet: the problem is not the “clash of civilizations” [Samuel Huntington] – more the “clash of religions” [frizztext] maybe a “clash of the different centuries”, meeting each other [Ernst Bloch, “Ungleichzeitigkeit”]

I think it’s just the clash of securities…some feel secure with tradition some secure in science…the real question is why should one man’s security be a point of contention, unless of course they don’t feel very secure in their security…hmmm….bit of a merry-go-round that last sentence, wasn’t it?

Which means I agree…with Ernst Bloch.

maybe it is neither religion, nor the wish to have more power [Alfred Adler], neither different velocities of cultures, nor various types of searching for security – maybe it is the simple but complicated goal, that every human beings wants to have a relatively comfortable life [Karl Marx] – let’s hope, that global trade networks can satisfy all wishes …

Hmmm…you have more faith than I in global trade networks I’m afraid…religion and ideals I think are born from the need to curb a certain egoistical greed that is part of our primeval heritage. We may like to think we descend from gods…but alas we do not. Our origins are not so nobal and we’ve yet to tame part of that nature.

I don’t know. Somehow this extreme differences can be frightening. It surely is important to have several aspects/views/religions ect. in the world … but does it have to mean, that the biggest difference is peace or war? Sadly, it often feels like it

Images that make us think, reflect and face the truth. The world is full of divisions. A lot we consider normal but they are not. Love , peace, faith, happiness, these are the ones we need and hope for ourselves and our family. War and division only brings pain and destructions. Thanks. Have a great weekend.

Wow, those pointy hats are something else. Really liked your take on the contrast between religion and military might…..which will win out?

I still maintain that religion per se isn’t a bad thing. It is how religion and faith are manipulated by vested interests, and how the world allows itself to be manipulated that is scary. Respect and tolerance towards individuals and their faiths is the only answer, or we set in motion a ‘tit for tat’ cycle that can only end in devastation.

An interesting collection. I am curious to know more about the groups that wear the pointy headgear. Who are they?

I’ve been thinking about your thought for a while now, till I could think of an answer. I don’t know whether you’re aware of it, but many of the most forward scientists in our people are also religious…. but thinking of other places, it occurred to me, that people who are exposed more to the power of nature… like those in Oklahoma, my have a greater faith in the spiritual and the religious than those who live in a bubble of technology.
