Weekly Photo Challenge: In The Background: “Take a picture of yourself or someone else as a shadow, a reflection, or a lesser part of a scene, making the background…” – we wanted to compose a self-portrait, but as always: the permanent cat patrol disturbed us and managed an own selfish show!

Cool cat! Yup, I am a cat person. I also really like the typewriter in your header. I have been looking for an old one to just have around. I miss that sound.

Emily Dickinson … – dick means in German: thick, fat cat … – last night we saw Catwoman, a little bit silly that outfit of Halle Berry – but I liked the house with the 30 cats …

Hi Frizz, I have no one to ask. My Flicker photos disappeared . How do I restore them? Do I have to pay Flickr now? I cannot find my RSS number and am feeling really stupid. Thank you!

Shalom Shimon,
I read with great interest your article about art, art schools and artists – and tried to continue thinking about that topic:
“what they teach is not how to be an artist…” – and so I studied the biography of van Gogh (and his suicide) or Piet Mondrian, Andre Kertesz (photographer) or Max Beckmann, Stefan Zweig or Helmut Newton etc. – it is the rhythm in the deepest center of a person, the center of a volcano-thing maybe: and you have to care, that the fire does not go to ashes …
