For all of us a beautiful day begins with a relaxing breakfast. Of course, one should entertain our four-footed friends too. Who wants to enjoy breakfast alone and lonely. Starbucks Café is a good choice if you were alone at home …

She comments herself: “ok, he didn’t really have the coffee and was only allowed a little toast! […This guy was a total sweetheart, incredibly tame. Miss him big time but can’t fail to smile when I see his photos – he was my little star, an amazing hamster. After he died there was a huge hole in my life]” At first I discovered her photo via the gallery http://www.photographyblogger.net/25-cute-hamster-pictures/

a reader from Croatia commented (below): “mmmmmmmh not sure I want to share breakfast with one of those…” I replied: “But our cat would!”
P.S.:
my favorite old grandma cafés are those where cats are part of the interior – maybe Starbucks had this idea with hamsters? Though, on the other hand: big dogs are forbidden in my country to come into shops of butchers … – maybe because there would immediately start a battle for sausage?
For sure: I would be a strong, successful guard of my cake vs. a hamster!
[But I often had no chance to defend my cake in street cafés against pigeons and sparrows – kind of flying hamsters! Late night maybe bats are coming?]

P.S.:
Once I sat at Starbucks Café in Berlin, reading and waiting for my shopping wife to come back. It was very early in the morning and I had a table with 12 seats for my own. But soon a school class from Kentucky, 24 teenagers added to the table step by step. They tried not to split the group. After a while my wife pulled me out of that crowd – but it wasn’t bad – we all had enjoyed a humorous and friendly dispute …

How cute, but was it really on a table in Starbucks?

That is so cute 😀 I wonder if it is someone’s pet… because if it belongs to starbucks, I’m not sure that branch is going to be doing business for long!

Aww reminds me of my hamsters I had as a child. I do miss them but don’t believe they ever had breakfast with me. Haha

I like your animal liberation in France!

The ranking of the nations should count
how respectful a nation is to animals…

Thanks! He shared that with Gandhi and now with so much vegans and vegetarians in the world. In France, our main goal is to ban Corrida ! Next week we’re all going to Alès with other european activists to speak about that.

Nice photo, but I don’t want to share my meal with one of those.
Last year we had unwanted visitors take up residence in our house for a few days (mice). We found where they entered and closed it off. There were two. We disinfected many areas of the house, especially where they left their signature.
I’m sure your cat would have loved those visitors.

A few years ago we had mice traps. A mouse colony had taken it into their heads to create a large stockpile with hazelnuts in our warm apartment. The half-dead mice hopped with the trap half an hour through the night home. It was horrible. Our cat makes everything better: She devours the creatures completely without leaving any residue.
