Every Tuesday, step by step, I’m walking with my readers from A to Z, last week we had i (visit tagged i), so this week we have j – I’m sure you’ll find a story or a short reflection tagged with “j”! Feel free to add in the comments the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “j”!!! Myself I’ll feature j for JAZZ:
JAZZ JAM SESSION

Maybe you know, that I like to play guitar all my life – my personal passion to forget all the trouble; often I had much fun in jazz jam sessions …
photo below by frizztext, Django Reinhardt Festival, Augsburg – the same on the youtube video too:
related: me, Mississippi Frizz, with a certain passion for jazz
a good j-post also could be
Lisa’s tribute to JENNY in the Mississippi Delta …
It’s not Tuesday for some of us : ) Loved the tunes!

Enjoyed reading Joe’s fascinating story Frizz!

dear Madhu,
Joe was the most important person I met in my life,
(most important book: Adorno, minima moralia):
both persons inspired me not to stop to analyze
Third Reich structures – and the continuing strategies in parts of Germany after 1945.
+
I resisted (and suffered) vs. similar structures in
military, theology, schools, jobs.
Actually there is a new discussion about education styles (corporal punishment) 1945-1975 – 30 years I had to suffer (in orphanage, under people who adopted me, in schools) also; it took all my energy to resist vs. the cruel tactics – every decade they became more hidden and complicated … next Friday I’ll write about fascism in Germany (scheduled)!

hi Angeline,
yes, I remembered we played with jacks too [to circle around] (also known as Knucklebones) … – me, born 1945 – not 1851 … – I think we got them as little school kids after WW II as content of care gift packages sent to Germany from USA …
