The Grand Central Terminal turns 100! I’ve searched for some links: flickr. com / telegraph.co.uk / theatlantic.com – when I walked through this hall I felt happy, feeling a certain mood like “we-are-in-the-same-boat”… – thanks to Noel / NYC♥NYC (1) and fotorené / Rene Alphenaar (2) and “verde, verde” (3) for sending their photos to my group BLOG IT!

I am there all the time and I love it- I have lots of pictures of the ceilings and the lights that hang down and the stairwells. Its a beautiful place but I never saw so many people there as in the second picture? Flash mob? : ))

Your photos here are quite superb. I wasn’t able to find such a nice one for my post on the free sites.
Did you hear that the shops were all charging 1913 prices yesterday? I wonder how much coffee and a breakfast cost in 1913?

“… the shops were all charging 1913 prices …”
– an amusing idea!
I believe we had in Germany 1913 inflation?
So a coffee and a breakfast would cost 1,000 $$ maybe?

This Grand Central looks enormous to me, like the Cistine Chapel. Love celebrating history that remains standing.
