too sad for words – In memory of your mother. The cat is listening to the loneliness, and with the other ear, the thronging bustle of people together

First of all, this is a beautiful post, with your words, image and music – and the quote, too – merging together to make a layered statement. Second, thank you for following – I’m honored. Third, a family member’s suicide is a slash in a very deep place and cuts through our ideas of who we think we are – but for it to be your mother – I would think it throws into question your very existence. And if it caused you to question that, it looks like you came out strongly on the side of living, given your creativity in so many areas.

very simple yet complex post.
i am now using my new computer, and the sound is amazing! how nice to truly appreciate your music!
one never quite comes to terms with the what if’s and questions that suicide leaves behind. i now have five friends who have chosen that route / each triggered by different reasons, but they all leave that big void of the what if’s. they all have my empathy, as i am sure your mother has yours.
you do an amazing job of taking life’s disappointments and turning them in to positive statements.

Hi Frizz,
This is a beautiful rendition of the song–full of feeling. I tried to find a way to comment on your post with”House of the Rising Sun,” and couldn’t figure it out. I loved your playing. I wonder if you have ever heard Ronnie Gilbert of the Weavers sing “House of the Rising Sun.” That is my favorite vocalization of the song. That too was a wonderful post.

some spam mail specialists used my more than 1,000 blog articles as 1,000 open doors – so I was forced to close the comment boxes of the older posts; sorry for everything, which is older than 14 days – maybe you comment instead with a hint or URL in my actual articles (like you, Naomi, have done mentioning my “House of the rising sun” article) – thank you all for understanding …

Beautiful pic and tribute to your mother. I appreciate your vulnerability in sharing your life so vividly with your readers. What an appropriate song! “All the lonely people”…”Where do they come from?” Well, I would guess that a good number of us come being left behind as others have gone on in suicide. My own mother committed suicide as well (when my twin brother and I were 1). Losing your mother in such a way causes such pain that is so very difficult to put to words but you have captured part of it beautifully on your guitar. Thanks so much for sharing this, Frizz. I know you’re an atheist but I hope you don’t mind me extending a “God bless you” your way! π “Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.: (Psalm 27:10) Peace and love! You have kindled many feelings, thoughts and memories with this post.

that’s sad, indeed,
