Weekly Photo Challenge: Together

Weekly Photo Challenge: TOGETHER; dancers from the group PUERTO FLAMENCO Seville – seen in TILBURG, Netherlands, www.gipsyfestival.nl – comment by Steven Ford: “Why is this image sexy? Is it the thrust hip? Or his unkept hair? Of even his hands that have not YET grabbed the hips?”

  9. I like the composition in this photo – there’s a lot of motion created by the diagonal lines of the arms and hands, and the curve of the hips, but they are together as can be seen by the parallel lines of her right arm and his left shoulder and the same direction of their gazes. The S-curve of her shoulder-waist-hip is also echoed in the line of his shoulder and arm. Great photo! Thanks for sharing this gem.

  10. I prefer the color version. The dance itself is so full of life and the color matches that liveliness.

  12. Fantastic! Actually, yes, I prefer the B&W. The female dancer stands out more than in the color. I enjoyed watching flamenco dancing in Madrid!

I think it’s everything, especially the way he is looking at her, mixed concentration of what he’s doing, and desire for her.

  33. I really enjoy the passion and expressions conveyed by latin dances. If only I would have such good feet-body coordination 😉

PS. I prefer the B&W, it seems more powerful, due to the sharp contrast.
