  2. Great post. I love N.Y. Here’s my travel report from New York that I wrote for a Norwegian mens magazine a few years back (the article is in English):

    • Great guitar playing that you’re doing here Monsieur Frizzman!
“Nobody knows you, when you’re down and out” fingerstyle guitar instrumental – really nice 🙂

    • and how about another song with “N”?
      NEW YORK by Liza Minelli?
      or by Paul Simon?
NUAGES by Django Reinhardt (all on youtube)
      myself on guitar:
“Nobody knows you, when you’re down and out”
(there’s a better, more charming version by Carla Bruni, the wife of French President Sarkozy on youtube)

  6. You must have pulled a photo from the archives for this post. It’s rare you see the twin towers anymore.

  9. New York City is a great place to visit. It’s sad not to see the twin towers anymore.
I am posting my usual nature theme this week, plus a few more “N’s”:

  10. I was about to go out this morning Frizztext, so didn’t get around to asking about the photo of NY. I see you’ve answered my questions above 🙂 I guess you’re saving the photo of the helicpoter for an ‘H’ in the future 😉

    Enjoyed the music too 🙂

  11. Hi Frizztext. It’s so sad to see the twin towers in your picture… 😦 Very poignant.

Here’s my entry for this week. Mine are old photos too: http://catbirdinoman.wordpress.com/2012/04/03/a-z-archive-n-challenge-the-nile/

  26. Very cool! It’s on my bucket list to visit New York, perhaps around Christmas-time. One day…
    Here’s my entry for N:
    Hope ya like it. 😉

    • at first I learned English in Germany via US pop music in the fifties broadcasted by military stations in Berlin and Frankfurt. So beg your pardon, reading CAROL, Paul Anka and Neil Sedaka came in my mind: in our first dancing lessons we learned to move to “Oh, CAROL …”

  27. Love the grain…
a ‘classic’ view that always stays in my mind when I think ‘NY’…

  28. Oh,Frizz! Was this picture of New York taken before 09/11/2001? It MUST have been, because I am certain I see the Twin Towers! What a way to meet the “N” photo challenge! Such a picture of my daughter and son-in-law’s home city!

  29. NIKE advertising, youtube trailer:

    • thank you for that nice charming intro: “I needed an “N” picture and just yesterday it rained like crazy AND I was sick AND the hubs was out of town and I found myself in need of these little ninjas once again. I lost it and they carried me…”
P.S.: don’t continue to be sick … (but I have to; nevertheless I’m glad about every day, I still can manage to write a little post)

Great photo of New York City. I was born nearby in Queens, New York. It’s sad that you can only see this one view only in a photo. Here is my entry. It is a combination of two challenges. Yours and one other challenge.

Hearing from you makes my day!
