Excellent take on the theme. It might be said that a distorted US flag is also a reflection of our current state of affairs (politics). But then again, that probably goes for every election year…

dear Eliz, because I daily had hundreds of e-mails I changed the notification rules sent by wordpress to me; now I receive no e-mail if someone hits a “like” star or makes a post; I only get a message and can react, if he/she comments some of my daily posts …

So how do you stay in touch with bloggers in general? Not everyone likes or even comments every day…. Interesting that you no longer get our posts. I get 100s of posts daily and it is a challenge. I am thinking about finding a way to handle it. I do want to like/comment back but we shall see. TY! 😉

I stopped my guitar playing and do not take any photos no more; for the rest of my life I enjoy to comment photography – and I’ll try to learn to cook at the end of my life; I’m 66 now – and three days before the lead singer Davy Jones of the Monkees died – his song: I’m a believer (I’m not…)

A very creative example for this week’s challenge! Many people would have just seen a broken piece of surfboard with stars and a blue background, and considered it trash. But you saw it as something more; as a piece of art with a patriotic story to tell.

9/11 changed a lot of lives. It opened our eyes to what is really happening out there. The first time I saw the twin towers turned into dust I was in disbelief, then fear and anguish for those who perish. Thanks for the moving image. I reminder that we should never forget. My prayers to the victims of 9/11….
