Balance as a goal

Anecdote: When my wife was a child, she got famous in her neighborhood, because she daily used to balance over the balustrade of a little river-bridge on her way to school. She was the daughter of one of the 2.000 poor factory workers. Now the rich descendants of the factory owner built a new villa – and fixed a sculpture there; when my wife saw this, she reacted very emotionally. Maybe the poor bold girl became the hero of this family? Today is our 47th wedding anniversary. All families have a private history – and some goals for the future. At least to risk balance every day …

  13. Wishing you a MOST happy 47th anniversary. I do not blame your wife in the least about getting emotional upon seeing this rooftop sculture. Your wife’s spirit is somehow there, I suspect.

  17. Love that post. The pics fit great into this balancing act. I’m sure when your wife saw the sculpture, she saw herself. Ah, memories are grand treasures to the soul. Happy 47 years! That’s awesome! Here’s to many more wonderful years together for the two of you. Cheers! I enjoyed listening to “I’m just a jealous girl” while reading your comments. *hug*
