Oh! That does capture the essence of peacefulness. I had thought of hunting down a body of water to photograph today, but anything I come up with will pale in comparison to yours. I will continue my hunt for a symbol of peaceful… 🙂

I love the way that many Mediterranean homes are painted in bright colours, predominantly white with blue roofes. I love this church. It all looks very clean, sanctified even. The curves on the roof makes for a wonderful shadow effect.

Some years ago a work colleague was married at Santorini. It was the first time I have had ever heard of it and thought what a wonderfull place to be. That photo is fabulous especially the texture of the sea… a picture of pure peacefulness

I love the Santorini photo! I want to go one day soon. In the meantime I find the peace much as I’ve shared the photos in the post – appreciating the creatures around me like the sleeping kitten, the beauty of nature as I sit on my back deck and seeing my husband relaxing while enjoying the Alaskan scenery on our honeymoon.
