  13. Archeology is the most objective science, at least when compared with history (which is a story). Fossils are always enchanting. Around here people can still find gold in rivers, and arrows from antiquity. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Frizztext.

  23. frizztext in your picture it looks like a huge hole and you could just walk up steps. Granted they would get to be big steps! It is a wonder and had me wondering so I headed to google. Great macro of a tiny fossil-fascinating to learn this morning.

  24. Reminds me of the golden mean spiral. The Greeks believed there to be three ‘ingredients’ to beauty: symmetry, proportion, and harmony. Thanks for all the visits!

I always wonder how fossils can be!
It’s so amazing that a dead organic thing can keep its living shape for such a long time that fossil can be created…

    Nice interpretation of “wonder” 🙂

  38. What exquisite beauty there is in even the most delicate and intricate, Alive or fossilized .. The roman amphitheaters must have been architecturally similar to this. Just lovely, Thankyou~

  39. At first sight I thought it was a spiral staircase carved in stone -but I then I was irritated by something (by it’s perfection?) and realized that it is actually a fossil. But now I am still irritated, for I would expect the spirals to lead towards me, not to the inside. It keeps me wondering… So great interpretation of the challenge! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
