I agree with you frizz, the wealthy should speak out against the unequal distribution of wealth. However, they are in a privileged position, so unfortunately the material world foregrounds their voices more than the voices of the 99%. As much as publicity of any kind is valuable, the cult of the celebrity is part of the capitalist/consumerist system. This has always been a hard one for me, as I also believe that music plays a vital role in shaping awareness.
