Weekly-photo-challenge-Possibility

A sailing ship is always a big metaphor for the possibility of new experiences. “The native Indian, who at first discovered Columbus made a bad discovery” – was a comment once written down cynically by G.C. Lichtenberg. But he should not disturb our joy while searching for new experiences. For sure all continents are correctly on the maps nowadays. But new experiences are still possible: for our hearts …

  5. There is really something special about the big tall ships. It’s a great shot of Shtandart. And the same can be said about the other photographs. You have a good eye for capturing the moment, even when there isn’t one, like with the car crashing through the wall.

I love clipper ships! I always dream of building one but I fear I may forever be confined to the model versions http://aurelientt.wordpress.com/2011/10/14/weekly-photo-challenge-possibility/

A very beautiful photo: the full sails, the flags whipping about, the sun glistening on the water, the lone seagull in the clouds above. You’re right. A sailing ship is a good metaphor for the possibility of new horizons.
